Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic—and What We Can Do About It by Jennifer Breheny Wallace explores the harmful effects of a high-pressure achievement culture on young people and offers strategies for parents and educators to combat it. The book argues that the relentless pursuit of success, driven by societal pressures and economic anxieties, is negatively impacting children's mental health and well-being.

We love books, and we love to share books with others, so we have opened a bookstore to build community around books. Though we don’t have a brick and mortar, YET, we were at the Salida Farmers’ Market this summer and fall and have some great pop-up events planned. Check out our Events Page.

We are here to support authors visiting and residing in Salida and the surrounding region. We have hosted Ted Conover and many local authors at the Farmers’ Market.

This summer we will tried out a Subscription program we called Community Support Reading (CSR) that allowed readers to have books curated each month and ready for pick up at the Market! It was a blast.

Since we don’t have a storefront, you can always contact us to purchase books, and we can arrange a pick up location. Or, we have a page on Bookshop.org, which will allow us to receive 30% if you purchase through our page.

Keep us in mind for all your book needs. We have been enjoying this new venture.
